This post is showing the procedure of how to customize laser key data for 2M2 Magic Tank Key Cutting Machine.
Prepare
An laser key, a calliper and a smart phone with Magic Tank app installed.
Steps
1. Open Magic Tank app
Customize key data >> Laser key 2 inner sides >> Select options based on the key
2. Measure & input parameter of laser key
Using the calliper to measure:
1) Distance from tip to the first cut.
2) Distance from tip to the last cut.
3) The length of groove in the middle.
4) Distance from the edge of key to the groove.
5) The width of groove in the middle.
6) Quantity of cuts.
Input all key information measurement, press “Next”.
3. Decode
Fix the laser key flat on 2M2 machine clamp to decode.
4. Cutting a key blank
Fill in key blank name and key type name, press “(Save) continue to create key blank”.
Next >> Replace 1.5mm cutter , press “cutter is changed”>> Next >> Start
Fix the key blank on 2M2 machine clamp for cutting..
Turn over the other side to cut…
Cutting finish, please use nail file to wear the angle, press “Exit” to complete.
Now the new laser key data can be found in “My Key”.
