How to reset Honda Civic airbag warning light via Autel MaxiCOM MK808 scan tool? This post is showing the procedure step by step.
There are 2 airbag warning lights illuminated on the dashboard of Honda.
Connect Autel MK808 with OBD2 port of Honda via connector, and turn on the ignition.
Diagnostics >> Honda >> System selection
Europe >> Control unit >> SRS
The engine should not be running but the ignition should be ON, press “OK” to continue.
SRS >> Read codes
There is a fault code: “B0028:13 – Permanent DTC, open or increased resistance in the right side airbag inflator.” That means it actually found a loose connection underneath the driver’s seat. I had put it back together, so let’s go back to clear the codes.
Erase codes >> Ignition is on, press “Yes”>> Yes
Codes have been successfully erased. Return to the function menu and tap “Read codes” to verify. Press “OK”.
The annoying airbag warning lights have gone at the same time.
Problem was solved!
