This guide explains how to read the dashboard EEPROM and program a new key for MV Agusta using OBDSTAR MOTOMASTER.
Required Tools
MOTOMASTER
High-Power DC Regulated Power Supply
Main Cable
MP001 Programmer
W004 & W005 Read/Write Soldering Wires
C4-01 Adapter
MV Agusta Dashboard Transponder Chip
EEPROM Reading
Before starting, make sure the MOTOMASTER software is updated to the latest version.
Go to:
RFID → MAKE KEY → Manual Select System → MV Agusta → Select the corresponding model/type
Review the cautions and operation guide, then select Read EEPROM and tap OK.
Open the Help guide and follow the wiring diagram to open the dashboard and solder the wires.
Note: Lift pin 4 before proceeding.
Connect the wires according to the wiring diagram. When prompted, connect the MP001 Programmer to the diagnostic device and tap Yes.
Save the EEPROM file after reading, then load the saved EEPROM backup and tap OK.
Key Programming
Select Main Key → Make Keys.
Follow the device prompts and place the new key chip into the induction coil.
Tap OK to start programming.
Once “Chip programming successful” appears, you can use the new key chip to start the vehicle.
