I used the LAUNCH X-431 PAD5 + Heavy Duty Module to check the engine state on a 2020 Foton Aumark. It’s useful for checking current engine operating conditions and spotting an active engine derate.
Get into the Engine System
1. Go to Diagnose >> Foton >> Latest version, then select Vehicle Type >> Conventional Energy >> Light Truck Series >> Aumark>>Auto Scan >> ECM/ABS/SCR Scan >> All System.
2. Enter Engine System, confirm the vehicle information, and click OK.
Check the Engine State
1. Select Actuation Test >> Engine State Monitor.
2. With the engine running, click OK.
3. Press the accelerator and watch the data change. The monitor shows the current engine operating state and can identify any active engine derate.
Quick Check
The engine starts normally, and the monitored data changes with accelerator input.
