This guide explains how to use the TOPDON JS3000 Jump Starter to safely jump-start a 12V vehicle.
Important: Before attempting to jump-start the vehicle, turn off all power loads, including the headlights, radio, air conditioning, and other electrical accessories.
Step 1: Connect the Battery Clamps
Plug the blue end of the battery clamps into the jump starter socket.
Step 2: Connect the Clamps to the Vehicle Battery
Connect the other end of the battery clamps to the vehicle battery:
- Red clamp → Positive (+) terminal
- Black clamp → Negative (-) terminal
Make sure the clamps are securely connected to the correct terminals.
Step 3: Check the Indicators
Press the Power Button once to turn on the jump starter.
The Battery Level Indicator will light up, indicating that the JS3000 is ready for jump-starting.
The Status Indicator will turn green when the vehicle battery voltage is normal, and the jump starter is ready to start the vehicle.

If the Status Indicator does not turn on, press and hold the BOOST Button to enable forced output mode.
The JS3000 has a built-in buzzer that alerts you when it detects reverse polarity, over-temperature, over-current, or other improper connections.
If the buzzer sounds, disconnect the jump starter, resolve the issue, and then reconnect it.
Step 4: Start the Vehicle
Try starting the vehicle.
If the vehicle fails to start:
- Disconnect the clamps from the vehicle battery.
- Wait for 20 seconds.
- Reconnect the clamps.
- Try starting the vehicle again.
Do not attempt more than 3 consecutive jump-starts within 2 minutes.
Step 5: Disconnect the JS3000
After the vehicle starts successfully, the JS3000 will automatically power off after 10 seconds if there is no further operation.
Then:
- Remove the clamps from the vehicle battery.
- Disconnect the battery clamps from the jump starter.
