In this guide, we’ll demonstrate how to cut a residential Schlage key by bittings using the 2M2 Tank CNC Key Cutting Machine.
Step 1: Enter the Key Database
First, turn on the 2M2 Tank CNC Key Cutting Machine.
Enter the Key Database and select Residential Key.
Step 2: Select the Schlage Key Profile
Find the first letter [S] and select [Schlage].
Then select the fourth profile, choose the second option, and select [6 cuts].
For this demonstration, we will use the standard clamps.
Step 3: Install the Key Blank
The machine provides a guided animation showing how to install the key.
Follow the on-screen animation and install the key blank correctly according to the instructions.
Once the key blank is installed properly, click Continue.
Step 4: Enter the Key Bittings
The key bittings for this Schlage key are:
1, 4, 6, 3, 5, 4
Enter these bittings into the application in the correct order.
After confirming that all the bittings have been entered correctly, click Cut to start the cutting process.
Step 5: Finish the Key Cutting
The 2M2 Tank CNC Key Cutting Machine will automatically cut the key according to the entered bittings.
The key cutting is successful!
