Using Launch X431 PAD V can calibrate Benz Xenon headlamp to solve DTC C156E00 error. This tutorial takes Mercedes Benz E300h (W212) as an example.
There was a warning light “Intell. Light System inoperative” on the Mercedes dashboard, let’s connect X431 PAD V with OBD to start diagnosis.
Local diagnose >> Mercedes-Benz >> OK >> Automatically search >> Yes >> OK
Switch on ignition, press “OK”.
Select “System List”, the scanning process & DTCs will display here.
It tells there was a trouble code C156E00: calibration of vehicle level was not performed.

Is the vehicle left-hand drive vehicle? No.
Zero position adjustment >> F3
Requirements Attention
The vehicle must be at a standstill.
The vehicle must be unladen.
The vehicle must be on a level surface.
The actual values of the level sensors must be in the valid range.
Return back to clear & read fault code for a check.
Clear fault code >> Yes >> OK
Read fault code >> No DTC
Done!
Restart the engine again, the warning light has gone!
The problem was solved.
