Launch X431 PRO5 has added BMW(-2020), and Mercedes Benz(-2020) online programming functions, but no support in Portugal, Canada, and Spain. Read this post to learn how to set up online programming for the first time.
1. Connect X431 PRO5 & computer with a USB cable, and set the “USB computer connection” option to “Media device(MTP)”.
2. Locate the “StdCfg.ini.” file in the directory:(\Lenovo TAB M10 FHD Rel\Internal shared storage\cnlaunch\X431Pro5\assets) on the computer.
3. Run and edit the “StdCfg.ini.” file with a text editor.
1) Search for 2 fields: “OnlineFlash=0” and “Flash=0”.
*The default value is 0, which indicates that the X431 PRO 5 diagnostic software does not support online programming.
2) Click the corresponding field and change the value to 1, then save.
* When the saving is successful, the corresponding value will change to 1 as image below. That indicates the X431 PRO 5 diagnostic software can support online programming function.
Note:
Except Spain and Portugal DO NOT support this function, the X431 PRO5 tablet in other regions can be set according to the above method for online programming. The overseas online programming menu will not be displayed on the home page, users need to enter the corresponding diagnostic software to have the menu.
