PIN Code Overview
The DUCATI PIN code is a 4-digit security password designed for immobilizer (IMMO) protection and anti-theft data programming.
Its main functions include:
1. Emergency Unlock
If the key transponder fails, the smart key battery is dead, or the immobilizer system malfunctions, the PIN code can be entered via the dashboard to unlock and start the vehicle.
2. Security Protection
Factory default PINs (e.g., 0000) are typically generic. Users are strongly advised to change the PIN to a personalized code via the dashboard menu to prevent unauthorized access.
3. System Recovery
If the PIN is lost or not properly stored, the vehicle may be unable to start or access certain dashboard functions. In such cases, the PIN Code Reset function must be performed using a diagnostic tool.

Solution
Use OBDSTAR MOTOMASTER to perform the [PIN Code Reset] function and restore the default PIN.
Detailed Procedure
Step 1: Enter Diagnosis Menu
Select:
[MOTO Diag] → [DUCATI] → Latest Version → [Diagnosis]
Step 2: Select Model
Choose:
[By Model]
Step 3: Select Vehicle Information
Follow this path:

[MY 21]
Step 4: Manual Selection
Click:
[Manual Selection]
Step 5: Enter System
Select:
[Hands Free (Smart Key)] → [Enter]
Step 6: Access Special Function
Click:
[Special Function]
Enter password: 123
Click [OK]
Step 7: Reset PIN Code
Select:
[PIN Code Reset]
Step 8–9: Confirm Operation
Click [OK] to confirm each prompt.
Step 10: Completion
Operation completed successfully.
The PIN code has now been reset.
You can now proceed to set a new PIN via the dashboard.
Manual PIN Change Procedure
After resetting, follow these steps to set a new PIN:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Wait for the dashboard home screen.
3. Press and hold the MENU ENTER button on the left handlebar to access the menu.
4. Select [PIN CODE]
5. Enter the default PIN: 0000
6. Set your new PIN code to complete the process
