MK808 Reviews:
From Luciferi:
I just bought this a while ago and tried it out on my 2000 e46 and works great. It reads the BMW specific codes. It’s a bit slow and a lot of button presses to get anywhere. The bad part is there are no names for any modules so you have no idea what options are there. I figured out engine and transmission ones. I am sure there is a list out there but haven’t looked yet. I haven’t tried any of the service stuff yet. It should work for me pretty well. I need it just to reset codes from unplugging things when doing wiring work.
From Elizabeth:
I am a professional mechanic (writing this on my wife’s account). This may be one of the best scanners in this price range and it supports vehicles that many scanners do not like Volvo. It supports a wide range of modules that can be scanned for codes. If you’re looking for a true bidirectional scanner this should not be your top choice, but if you just need data for testing or maintenance procedures, this is just the perfect tool. The key coding may only support BMW and Mercedes, so don’t expect this to be able to code all the new keys. VIN recognition isn’t 100% on this so you may be entering in vehicle information on random vehicles.
From Robert:
Loaded with features, easy to use! Works great on Mercedes, Toyota, Ford, GM and Jeep, without problems. It’s one of the best diagnostic tools in the market and worthy every penny!
From Fred:
Actually, this is my first real scanner tool. I always had a cheap one for emission light diagnosis.
I had a transmission slip issue and the auto parts store free scan will not show transmission, airbag, or abs codes. This one does it all.
From Tad:
I’ve tried different functions on different cars with this MK808. I was down to one key on my Ford F-150 2001. This scanner allowed me full access to the PATS system, and I was able to program additional keys, as well as erase any old ones if I wanted to.
