This is a quick demonstration of how to reset the Toyota 89170-78150 Airbag with OBDSTAR P50 on the bench. Read the operation below to learn how to do it.
Tool Required
P50 Airbag Reset Tool
Main cable
P004 Adapter + Jumper
Toyota 89170-78150 Airbag ECU
* Please keep P50 in charging and communication throughout the whole process.
Operation
Airbag reset >> Airbag reset >> Latest version >> Toyota 89170-78150(DENSO) R7F7016843[BENCH]
Click “Guide” & “Pinout” to check the operation instructions and wiring diagram.
After a successful connection, turn on the P004 ignition.
Click “Start”.
This function is available by connecting the server, please ensure the Internet connection is normal.
This function requires a CANFD adapter, please connect the CANFD adapter before performing the corresponding function.
Click “ECU information” to check if the airbag part number is correct.
Click “Read DTC”, here we can find a crash fault code.
Advanced function >> Read EEPROM(R7F7016843) >> Start
Read success.
Save the EEPROM file.
Please disconnect the 12V power supply(or turn off the ignition) and wait for 30, and then reconnect the 12V power supply(or turn on the ignition)
Click “Erase Crash”.
Has the “Read EEPROM” function been executed? OK
Choose EEPROM file >> OK
Erase crash in file success.
Changes will be written through the “Write EEPROM” function, continue? OK
Write EEPROM…
Writing data success.
Please disconnect the 12V power supply(or turn off the ignition) and wait for 30s. And then reconnect the 12V power supply(or turn on the ignition).
Click “Erase DTC”.
Erase DTC success.
Go back to read DTC again.
There are no crash fault codes.
The airbag reset was done!
